Ready for the starting flag

Taking after his father and usually being "last minute," it seems Steven did make the Thursday p.m. flight from Gatwick on time, out to Ouarzazate in Morocco, and spent his last night of luxury for some time in a hotel bed upon arrival; text message received to say he'd arrived.
He's now transferred out to the bivouac area from where the race starts on Sunday morning, undergoing final administrative, medical and technical checks, with some free time (and no doubt lots of mental preparation) for the remainder of Saturday.
Breakfast provided by the organisers on Sunday morning will be his final normal meal; from 9a.m. onwards it's self sufficiency from what he's carrying in his backpack for the next six days until the 14th..... just hope he's remembered everything!
